Yesterday, our Animal Protection Unit was called to a property in southeast Georgia where nearly 150 dogs and cats were living in deplorable conditions, with little hope for a better future.
The situation was heart-wrenching. Many of them were outside in pens, exposed to the elements and their own filth. Others were roaming free inside a house, while some were confined to kennels inside a carport. These innocent animals desperately needed our help, and we couldn’t turn a blind eye.

Our dedicated team swiftly mobilized and worked tirelessly to assist other animal welfare organizations and remove these animals from this horrible situation. And right now, 29 of them are on their way back to Atlanta, where they will receive the care, love, and attention they so urgently require. The remaining animals have been distributed among other animal welfare organizations- there were simply too many for one organization to take.
